Conveyancing is the legal process of moving the title of a property from one person to another. Owners of property can be an individual (person) or an entity such a small business. The process involves preparing, checking, and lodging various legal documents associated with buying and selling property as well as preparing the property for settlement.
Why do you need a conveyancer?
Paper Conveyancing before, now Paperless Conveyancing or what you call Electronic Conveyancing can be complex as there are 3 stages involved: before the exchange of contracts, after exchange of contracts but before property settlement, and after settlement.
In addition, every deal is different for both first home buyers and even those considered property experts. A lot can and do go wrong, so it’s wise to obtain a trusted conveyancer to guide you through the process.
